On January 26, 2026, the official opening ceremony of “ToshTech” University took place. The event was attended by the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan K.A. Sharipov, the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan J.T. Mirzamahmudov, the Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan O.R. Fozilkarimov, the Executive Director of the “El-yurt umidi” Foundation under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan G.S. Ismailova, and other organization leaders. In addition, the ceremony included the heads of JSC “Regional Electric Networks”, JSC “Uzenergoinjiniring”, JSC “National Electric Networks of Uzbekistan”, JSC “Uzbek Technological Metals Combine”, and JSC “Thermal Power Plants”. Representatives from foreign partners, including Germany’s University of Bremen and the United States’ Boston Consulting Group, were also present.
During the ceremony, the guests of honor cut the symbolic red ribbon, officially launching the university's activities.
Within the framework of the event, a “ROADMAP for 2026” was signed between the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, “ToshTech” Technical University, and the Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
The university has also signed memorandums of understanding with the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the “El-yurt umidi” Foundation under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as with industrial enterprises such as JSC “National Electric Networks of Uzbekistan”, JSC “Thermal Power Plants”, JSC “Regional Electric Networks”, JSC “Uzbek Technological Metals Combine”, and JSC “Uzenergoinjiniring”.
This collaboration opens up opportunities for students regarding practical training and internships, participation in joint projects, and guaranteed employment.
“ToshTech” is not merely an educational institution, but an engineering ecosystem where ideas are born, teams are formed, and theory is transformed into innovative technologies. The university is designed to serve the enhancement of the long-term economic competitiveness of Uzbekistan and the entire Central Asian region.
