Giorgos Tsironis

Giorgos Tsironis is a prominent Greek theoretical physicist, full professor at the University of Crete, and director of the Crete Center for Quantum Complexity and Nanotechnology (CCQN). Throughout his career, he has held key research positions at top US institutions, including the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), Fermilab, and the Los Alamos National Laboratory. He has also served as Chairman of the Physics Department and Vice-Rector of the University of Crete.His primary research focuses on nonlinear physics, quantum metamaterials, and the dynamics of complex systems. Recently, Professor Tsironis has been leading interdisciplinary initiatives utilizing artificial intelligence and machine learning, particularly for medical data analysis in cardiology and neurology, as well as for the intelligent design of photonic and optical devices. He has authored over 180 papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
