Professor Jasurjon Akhatov, Head of the Scientific Research Center at "ToshTech" Technical University, is participating in the Selangor International Business Summit 2026—including the Selangor AI & Semiconductor Summit—held in Malaysia from October 14 to 17, 2026, as part of an interdepartmental delegation organized under the initiative of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
During the visit, prospects for cooperation in the following areas are set to be discussed:
— Expanding Uzbekistan–Malaysia collaboration in the fields of semiconductors and microelectronics;
— Training qualified personnel and establishing international internship programs;
— Attracting "fabless" (IC design) and OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test) companies to Uzbekistan;
— Studying Malaysia’s experience in developing industrial zones and technoparks.
Furthermore, the visit includes plans to sign Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) between "ToshTech" Technical University and the Malaysian entities ASEM Academy and Great Asic.
This visit represents a significant step toward expanding the university’s international scientific and technical cooperation, as well as integrating advanced technologies and industrial expertise into its educational and research processes.
