The newly established university will have financial, academic and organizational independence. One-year courses will be launched this year. Bachelor's degrees will be opened next year, and admission to master's and postgraduate courses will begin in 2027. Education will be provided on a grant and contract basis, in Uzbek and foreign languages. Students admitted until 2029/2030 will be provided with a state grant.

TashTech Technical University Representative Participates in CDIO Asia Regional Meeting 2026
The CDIO Asia Regional Meeting 2026 took place from 23 to 26 September in Oskemen, Kazakhstan, hosted by D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University.Mohammad Reza Bahrami, Dean of the Faculty of Energy Engineering at TashTech Technical University, participated in the event and exchanged insights with colleagues on advancing engineering education in the region, modern educational approaches, collaboration between industry and higher education, and the role of artificial intelligence in education.Particular attention was given to the CDIO (Conceive, Design, Implement, Operate) approach. This approach integrates students’ theoretical knowledge with practical skills, preparing them to identify problems, design and implement solutions, and apply them in real-world settings.Discussions also addressed engaging students in practical projects from the earliest stages of their studies, developing engineering thinking, and using artificial intelligence as a tool to support thinking and creativity.The best practices gained during the event will be applied at TashTech Technical University to further enhance engineering education, develop a practice-oriented learning environment, and prepare engineers equipped with modern competencies.TashTech Technical University continues to expand opportunities in engineering education by strengthening international academic collaboration and integrating best practices into the learning process.

Kelajakka qadam: Business Financing Opportunities for Young People and Graduates
The Kelajakka qadam programme’s credit products support the business ideas of young people and university graduates, the launch of new businesses, the expansion of existing enterprises, and projects by businesses that provide employment for young people.Below are the main terms of the programme’s four credit products: Tadbirkorlikka ilk qadam, Biznes start, Biznes progress, and Talaba invest.Conditions applicable to all four credit products- Interest rate: Central Bank main rate + 1%.- Funding source: Fund of Reconstruction and Development.- Disqualifying factors: a negative credit history or existing overdue credit debt.1. Tadbirkorlikka ilk qadamPurpose: financial support for the business ideas of self-employed young people and graduates starting their own businesses.Eligible applicants: self-employed young people and graduates under 31 years of age.- Loan amount: up to UZS 20 million.- Loan term: up to 18 months.- Grace period: up to 6 months.- Security: an insurance policy covering the risk of loan default.Special conditions: the applicant must be an individual aged between 18 and 31 at the time of the loan application and must not have a negative credit history.2. Biznes startPurpose: financing entrepreneurial projects by graduates and young people who have the necessary business skills and wish to establish an independent business as a business entity.Eligible applicants:- University graduates operating as sole proprietors, as well as young people.- Legal entities whose founder or director is a university graduate or a young person.Loan amount: up to UZS 300 million.Loan term:- For purchasing fixed assets — up to 60 months.- For working capital — up to 36 months.Grace period:- For purchasing fixed assets — up to 12 months.- For working capital — up to 6 months.Security:- For loans of up to UZS 100 million — an insurance policy.- For loans exceeding UZS 100 million — liquid collateral.Special conditions:- Participation in the Kelajakka qadam programme by sole proprietors, university graduates establishing a legal entity, and young people.- No negative credit history.- The graduate must have completed university no more than five years previously.- On the application date, the borrower—a young entrepreneur—must be an individual aged at least 18 and no older than 31.3. Biznes progressPurpose: financing entrepreneurial projects by students and young people who have already started their own businesses and wish to expand their activities.Eligible applicants:- University graduates operating as sole proprietors, as well as young people.- Legal entities whose founder or director is a university graduate or a young person.Loan amount: up to UZS 2 billion. The limit is determined without taking the client’s existing credit debt into account.Loan term:- For purchasing fixed assets — up to 84 months.- For working capital — up to 36 months.Grace period:- For purchasing fixed assets — up to 24 months.- For working capital — up to 6 months.Security: liquid collateral covering 125% of the loan amount.Special conditions:- Participation in the Kelajakka qadam programme by sole proprietors and university graduates establishing a legal entity.- No negative credit history.- Creation of at least two jobs.- The graduate must have completed university no more than five years previously.- On the application date, the borrower—a young entrepreneur—must be an individual aged at least 18 and no older than 31.4. Talaba investPurpose: financing production and service-sector projects by businesses that have employed university graduates and young people under 31 years of age.Eligible applicants: businesses that employ university graduates or young people.Loan amount: up to UZS 10 billion. The limit is determined without taking the client’s existing credit debt into account.Loan term:- For purchasing fixed assets — up to 84 months.- For working capital — up to 36 months.Grace period:- For purchasing fixed assets — up to 24 months.- For working capital — up to 6 months.Security: liquid collateral covering 125% of the loan amount.Special conditions:- If, within two years, the employment contract of a graduate or young person whose employment qualified the business for a preferential loan is terminated, the loan’s interest rate changes to the commercial rate from the termination date, unless another graduate or young person is hired within one month to replace that employee.- The business must have account turnover.- The project initiator must participate with a stake of at least 30%.Note: before applying, confirm the current lending terms, required documents, and eligibility requirements with the lending bank.

During the visit, the guests familiarized themselves with the university’s new campus, modern infrastructure, learning environment, and the opportunities available to students. Additionally, Nikita Dontsov (a leading specialist at Yandex Uzbekistan) delivered a lecture titled "AI Transformation – Employee and Employer Perspectives." The lecture covered the impact of artificial intelligence on modern workflows, AI transformation from the perspectives of both employees and employers, and issues related to implementing AI technologies within companies. Sharing his practical experience as a software engineer, the speaker offered practical recommendations for the effective use of AI technologies and outlined the company's approach to implementing them.
