The President signed a decree on the establishment of ToshTech University.

The newly established university will have financial, academic and organizational independence. One-year courses will be launched this year. Bachelor's degrees will be opened next year, and admission to master's and postgraduate courses will begin in 2027. Education will be provided on a grant and contract basis, in Uzbek and foreign languages. Students admitted until 2029/2030 will be provided with a state grant.

Tashkent Tech University Team Met with Talented Youth in Jizzakh Region

As part of its efforts to enhance the capacity of modern engineering professionals in Uzbekistan and to expand young people’s access to quality higher education, representatives of Tashkent Tech University conducted a series of outreach and presentation events in the Jizzakh region. During the visit, the university team visited the Presidential School in Jizzakh and several leading educational centers, where meetings were organized with students, prospective applicants, and educational institution administrators. During these meetings, participants received detailed information about the university’s academic programs, modern curricula, international cooperation opportunities, grants and scholarships, as well as the facilities and support available to students. In addition, an open dialogue session was held with participants, during which questions related to the university admission process, quality of education, and student life were addressed. Meetings were also conducted with the management of educational centers to discuss guiding young people toward careers in engineering and technology, as well as opportunities for developing long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation. This visit marked another important milestone in Tashkent Tech University’s ongoing efforts to encourage young people in the regions to pursue modern professions, increase their interest in higher education, and contribute to the preparation of highly qualified engineering professionals for the country.

Tashkent Tech Model United Nations

On May 31, the “Tashkent Tech Model United Nations” (TTMUN) conference was held at Tashkent University of Technology. This large-scale educational project brought together more than 200 delegates, including both local and international participants. Acting as representatives of different countries, the delegates engaged in discussions on pressing global issues related to technology, engineering, innovation, and international cooperation. The event was organized to encourage young people to engage with public and international affairs while developing their skills in diplomacy, leadership, and negotiation. At the conclusion of the conference, the most outstanding participants were recognized with the following awards: 🏆 Best Delegate 🎤 Best Speaker 📄 Best Position Paper We express our sincere gratitude to all participants, organizers, and guests who contributed to the success of the event. On April 28, the international festival “Engineers of the Future,” organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Tashkent, was officially launched.

On April 28, the international festival “Engineers of the Future,” organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Tashkent, was officially launched. The event brought together young engineers and inventors from Uzbekistan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, and Tajikistan, becoming an important platform for exchanging innovative ideas and fostering international collaboration. 🇺🇿🇷🇺🇰🇬🇨🇳🇹🇯 The opening ceremony was attended by international guests and rectors of leading higher education institutions. In particular, the Rector of Tashkent University of Technology, Adkham Khudaykulov, delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of developing engineering education and expanding international cooperation. Distinguished international guests also participated in the festival, including Serge Haroche, Moez Chakchouk, and Oliver Tian, further highlighting the global significance of engineering education. One of the festival’s most significant outcomes was the establishment of the Consortium of Regional Academic Engineering Schools among higher education institutions in Central Asia and Russia. This initiative aims to strengthen academic cooperation, scientific research, and student exchange programs. As part of the festival, competitions are being held across 9 major categories and 23 subcategories, along with international Olympiads, innovation exhibitions, forums, and hackathons. The festival serves as a major international platform that further strengthens Uzbekistan’s position in the field of engineering and innovation on the global stage.
