Grand Opening Ceremony of ToshTech University
On January 26, 2026, the official opening ceremony of “ToshTech” University took place. The event was attended by the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan K.A. Sharipov, the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan J.T. Mirzamahmudov, the Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan O.R. Fozilkarimov, the Executive Director of the “El-yurt umidi” Foundation under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan G.S. Ismailova, and other organization leaders. In addition, the ceremony included the heads of JSC “Regional Electric Networks”, JSC “Uzenergoinjiniring”, JSC “National Electric Networks of Uzbekistan”, JSC “Uzbek Technological Metals Combine”, and JSC “Thermal Power Plants”. Representatives from foreign partners, including Germany’s University of Bremen and the United States’ Boston Consulting Group, were also present.During the ceremony, the guests of honor cut the symbolic red ribbon, officially launching the university's activities.Within the framework of the event, a “ROADMAP for 2026” was signed between the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, “ToshTech” Technical University, and the Boston Consulting Group (BCG).The university has also signed memorandums of understanding with the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the “El-yurt umidi” Foundation under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as with industrial enterprises such as JSC “National Electric Networks of Uzbekistan”, JSC “Thermal Power Plants”, JSC “Regional Electric Networks”, JSC “Uzbek Technological Metals Combine”, and JSC “Uzenergoinjiniring”.This collaboration opens up opportunities for students regarding practical training and internships, participation in joint projects, and guaranteed employment.“ToshTech” is not merely an educational institution, but an engineering ecosystem where ideas are born, teams are formed, and theory is transformed into innovative technologies. The university is designed to serve the enhancement of the long-term economic competitiveness of Uzbekistan and the entire Central Asian region.
Tashkent Tech University held an Open Day
On December 20, an Open Day was held at Tashkent Tech University, which was attended by more than 300 participants - applicants, students of lyceums, technical schools, schools and their parents. The event became a platform to get acquainted with the university, its infrastructure, educational programs and teaching staff. An official presentation of the university took place at the Open day, detailing Tashkent Tech's mission, strategic goals and role in the development of technical education in the country. The speeches of representatives of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations, Acwa Power and BCG international consulting company aroused special interest among the applicants, they emphasized the importance of the demand for engineering personnel and the close connection of education with the economic sector. As part of the event, a special Foundation program (preparatory course) for applicants was presented, which helps future students to adapt to the university education format, increase knowledge of basic subjects and make a decision on the choice of specialty. The large number of participants showed the relevance of this program. On the day of the event, the first introductory lesson on the Foundation program was held, where students were introduced to the educational format, requirements and opportunities for admission to the bachelor's program. This allowed prospective students to experience the university environment and the level of teaching in practice. The Open Day at Tashkent Tech University showed the great interest of young people in technical education and confirmed the status of the university as a modern, promising and rapidly developing educational institution aimed at training a new generation of specialists.

On November 29/30, Tashkent Tech held entrance examinations for the free Foundation preparatory program, designed for applicants seeking to pursue international-level engineering education. The exams included Mathematics and Physics testing. During the selection process, evaluation focused not only on knowledge of formulas and theory, but also on the ability to apply them to practical problem-solving, logical thinking, attentiveness, and overall potential for studying engineering disciplines. The test results are now published! ToshTech and Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) Signed Memorandum of Understanding
On January 29, 2026, Tashkent University of Technologies (**ToshTech**) hosted an official meeting with a delegation from one of the world’s premier academic institutions — **Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU)**. The visit culminated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), establishing a strong foundation for long-term academic and scientific cooperation between the two universities. The meeting was attended by the Rector of ToshTech, **Professor Adham Khudaykulov**, alongside International Cooperation Office managers **Lola Badalova** and **Nargiza Saatova**. Representing the university’s strategic partner, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), were Principal **Pavel Zolotarev** and Expert **Alexey Gusev**. President signed a decree on the establishment of the ToshTech University
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on the establishment of the technical university ToshTech, reports the press service of the Ministry of Justice. The newly created university will receive financial, academic, and organizational independence. In the first stage, one-year training courses will be launched this year. Starting next year, the university will train specialists in undergraduate programs. Starting in 2027, students will be able to enroll in master's programs and postgraduate programs. Students will be taught in Uzbek and foreign languages ??on a grant and contract basis. Students admitted before 2029/2030 will receive a state grant. 
Adham Khudoykulov appointed rector of ToshTech University
**Adham Khudaykulov Appointed Rector of Tash Tech Technical University** Adham Khudaykulov has been appointed Rector of Tash Tech Technical University, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation announced. Previously, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev relieved him of his position as Head of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education under the Administration of the President. The decision to establish Tash Tech University was made on September 9. The university will have financial, academic, and organizational autonomy. Tash Tech will begin admitting its first undergraduate students in the next academic year. Kursiv Uzbekistan reported that Bakhtiyor Yuldashev has been appointed to the vacant position of Head of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education.
